Here is a recent project that I photographed for Albeo Technologies in Boulder, Colorado. They are industrial strength lighting company that takes advantage of energy efficient LED Lighting.

I have selected a few images from the shoot to show you their product as well as how I photographed it.

A bit about Albeo Technologies:
• Established in 2004
• The lighting was specifically designed for industrial and commercial buildings.
• 11/26/12 - GE Lighting acquiring Albeo Technologies

Straw Bale Home

A straw bale home in Colorado was one of coolest places I have ever photographed. 

My images were featured in Mother Earth Living, Boulder County Home and Garden and in Housing Reclaimed by Jessica Kellner a few years ago. I often think about the beauty of this home.

I enjoyed listening to the homeowners talk about their experiences building their house with reclaimed materials.

The exterior images (above and to the right) were a bit tricky. I thought it might be fun to show you the setup. To get these  images I needed to use a 16 foot ladder.

I have included a picture of my setup (below).

Setup:
5d Mark II
24-70mm f/2.8L USM
Attached my tripod to the top of the ladder.
Radio triggering system (Pocket Wizards) with a remote camera cable from the ground.

The detail shots below are great examples of how much labor and love went into building this home.

Events Etc - A Brother-Sister Duo

I have had the opportunity to see first hand the wide range of events and projects that Events Etc creates.

A few adjectives I would use to describe this brother and sister duo: inspiring, professional, brilliant, dependable, consistent, trustworthy and outgoing. 

Know that if they are planning an event, it is going to be awesome. 

I have included a few of the images I have photographed for them at events over the last few years.

A little bit about Events Etc:

Events Etc was started and is owned by Sara Crowe and Steven Stokes. They provide event planning to Chambers, Associations, Non-profits and all levels of Government. They primarily plan events for over 1,000 people with their largest at nearly 150,000 people (a three-day festival)

A Boulder Architect

A few years ago I had the opportunity to photograph a few projects for Stephen Sparn. I have included a few select images from those photo shoots.

Bringing Seeds to Life

Last year I had the opportunity to photograph the process of of growing seeds for Boulder County Home and Garden. (you can read the story here: Reap What You Sow) 

I have trouble keeping plants in my house alive, to say the least, I was a bit nervous. 

I was given the seeds, everything I needed and asked to photograph as the seeds matured.
It was an interesting experience going through the steps to grow seeds and watch life come alive. 

My setup: 

2 Strobes with Umbrellas

White Seamless

Canon 5d Mark II with my 24-70mm f/2.8L lens and 70-200mm f/2.8L IS
I left all my lights, stands, seamless, and cameras set up throughout this process, about 3 weeks.

A House with Character!

This house I photographed for Boulder County Home and Garden in 2012 was almost entirely built by the home owners.  Their home screams imagination and creativity! You can read the story at "A House that Shouts."

Country Home in Boulder County

A home I photographed in Boulder County for Boulder County Home and Garden. This kitchen was one of my favorites over the last few years. It was warm and had a sense of home. You can read the story at Feature Home: Country Comfort.
